Shri Edappakath Ahamed was a former Member of Parliament and belongs to the Indian Union Muslim League political party. In the year 2014, he was elected as Member of Parliament in 16th Lok Sabha representing Malappuram, Kerala. Also, he was elected as Member of Parliament in 11th, 12th and 15th Lok Sabha from Malappuram constituency in the years 1996, 1998 and 2009, respectively.
